Find Your Balance

About Victoria Rose Yoga
Hi, I'm Vicky,
I began practicing yoga as a teenager, incorporating a regular practice into my routine to support me through my studies. My regular practice became a daily practice and yoga interwove itself through every facet of my life.Â
While yoga for me began as a practice entirely focused on my physical body, over the years the mental health benefits of a regular yoga practice have evidenced themselves to me time and time again. Yoga has supported me through some of the most trying times of my life and the positive impacts it extends through all aspects of my life continue to enchant me
A dynamic vinyasa practice offers me a form of moving meditation that leaves me feeling both energised and relaxed. Gentle and restorative practices are here to meet me when I need to take more care of my self. My daily practice is a constant, no matter where I am in the world or what else is happening in my life. It keeps me grounded and my body and mind healthy. The deep-rooted peace that yoga instils in me is what I hope to bring to my students, through movement, stillness and an element of play.
In 2018 I completed my first 200 hour teacher training in Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa in Rishikesh, India. I began teaching immediately and have not looked back. Over the last few years I have completed further trainings in Aerial Movement, Advanced Vinyasa, Myofascial Release and Yin.
In my classes you can expect anatomically intelligent sequencing, a balance of strength, sweat, stillness and an element of fun.

My Offerings

Vinyasa
Connect with your body, breath and being in this dynamic style of class. Attention to breath is the thread through the practice as we incorporate fun flows, explore shapes and build heat.

L1/2 Suitable for all levels- build more heat by opting in for more vinyasa repetitions, or take it easy by choosing less.

L2/3 Let’s play! This class is open to anyone with a solid foundational yoga practice looking to experiment and advance their asana practice.

Flow
Connect with the innate movements of your breath and allow this to inform your practice. A blend of Vinyasa and Hatha yoga this is a sweet, flowing practice where movement is linked with the breath, creating a moving meditation experience.

Care & attention is given to correct alignment in postures. Classes are designed to deeply lengthen, strengthen, cleanse and tone the whole body. Beneficial breathing techniques and calming relaxation are included to help quieten the mind.

Yin
This is a sweet floor based practice of shapes held between 3-5 minutes each. Yin yoga allows the body to release tension stored in the connective tissue by supporting longer holds while the body is in a cool state.

You will be guided into different shapes that correspond with particular meridian lines to balance Qi (energy) to bring the physical, emotional & thought bodies back into balance. This practice supports your joints, mobility, body awareness and ability to slow right down and be still. We may work with some Myofascial Release techniques to access common trigger points in the fascia.

Aerial
Aerial movement is a beautiful practice facilitating body awareness and proprioception, building strength and flexibility, and decompressing, creating space in the body.

Beginners Aerial. This fundamentals class is suitable for those new to aerial and all students who want to brush up on hammock etiquette, cues, wraps, grips and traps.

Aerial Conditioning. A cardio & strength class set to fun beats. This practice includes strengthening workouts, inversions and optional flips and tricks.

Aerial Yin. This practice includes a sequence of supported postures and gentle movements designed to release fascia via longer holds and specific tissue activation.

Workshops and Events
Myofascial Release Yin Series.
A three part series exploring meridian pathways and fascial trains within the body. These workshops combine self massage techniques (using balls) and yin yoga postures to facilitate the release of deeply held tension in the body.
Cultivate balance and harmony as we breathe into long held shapes, releasing tension from mind and body. Stimulate meridian pathways, releasing blockages and encouraging Prana, Qi, energy, life force, to flow freely through your entire being.
Be, breathe, bliss.
